:DUmmm, hi. This is my first time doing a devotion. I'm doing it a week early for practice. I'm home and now I have my bible and can do devotions! So here's mine, I'm gonna type the verses for those who don't have a bible with them at the moment.
I thought we could do Psalms 23, mainly focusing on 23:4
Fear has a way of changing things. Fear can influence dreams. What we must learn is that God NEVER leaves us, even when we are frightened. If God is always with us, there is no reason to fear. We will fear, as humans, we were made that way. But fear can make us strong. When we are afraid, we cling to him more than ever!
"As the Lord showed him parts of his past, the man looked at the footprints. During his most wonderful moments, their were two sets of footprints, his and God's. But during his depressing moments, there were only one set. When the man saw this he asked God 'Why did you leave me in my desperate times?' 'I never left you,' God said 'Where you see only one set of footprints, that is where I carried you."
The Lord never leaves us when we are upset. It is then when we are carried by Him.
I hope I did alright, I looked up for topics in my devotional. Well, c~ya later~

Psalm 23
A Psalm of David
1 The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not be
in want
2 He makes me lie down in green
pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of
death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
