Hi everyone! My name's Jennifer-Dail, but most people call me Jen or Eni ("Enny"). I really don't care whatyou call me as long as it's not Jenny!
Anyway, I'm 17 and live in BC, Canada. I'm going into grade 12, and if we had majors at my school, mine'd be in pysichal sciences/technology, with a minor in English/Lit. My post-secondary/carreers goals are to eventually attent the University of British Columbia (UBC) and become a mechanical/robotics engineer, but I might also get a couple degrees in computer graphics/web design along the way, and I've also felt the Lord pulling me towards Bible school from time to time.
Another academic-related goal of mine include becoming a best-selling science fiction author (I've got 2 novels on the go right now, but I think I've disproved a few theories in one of them *rolls eyes*)
Next to the Holy Trinity of course, my greatest loves in live (in order) are my wonderful Boyfriend Josh, my Mom and her side of the family, horses, books/reading/writing and music.
My Christian walk/story-
My father (who's now out of the picture) is/was a very controlling man who can be discribed as athiest, abusive, perverted, and sexually confused. He prevented my family and I from attending church, and had he had it completely his way, my sister and I wouldn't ever have heard/read the Word.
When I was 5, someone gave me a copy of the children's Bible, which became my favourite bedtime story. Mom readit to me quite often, my father never would. Every once in a while, Jesus read to me too. I remember clearly him sitting on the edge of my bed, his flawless hands on the pages. Like all my memories from that early, it's absolutely silent (I have hearing issues and when I was younger I was nearly deaf), but the silence just seems right. It just was quiet. One of the passages he read to me was Matthew 19:13-14 Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them nd pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belings to such as these." (NIV translation)
When I was 10, and my parents were finalizing their long and complicated divorce, Mom started taking my sister and I to church and I attended Sunday School classes for the first time. When I was 11, I finally accepted Christ.
In Oct. 2004, I started attending the Baptist church I attend now, (which also happens to be the same church my boyfriend attends) and I was Baptised there March 20th of this year.
